In 1992 Ed bred Stubby to a fine female named Brindle Lady, she is ¾ feist and ¼ cur her pups will come to a 22 when fired instead of running away this is an inheritable trait because all her offspring show this same trait. He also bred Stubby to another fine female named Streak he also got some fine squirrel dogs from this cross. Ed kept a male from the first cross that is Stubby Jr. and bred it to a female from the second cross which is Streak II and the resulting litters have natural ability and love the gun. My CHIPAWOOD Nubby is out of this half sibling cross and he sires litters that also have the natural ability and love for the gun and that is the key ingredient for make fine squirrel dogs.
